Naturopathic Medicine
What sets an ND apart from other conventional health providers is that they work with your inherent self-healing process by identifying underlying root causes of illness and addressing this through an individualized treatment plan. NDs are trained in primary care, can address both acute and chronic illness, and are aware of how naturopathic treatments can work alongside standard medical therapies.
During the Initial Appointment, your ND will obtain an extensive patient history on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Your comprehensive intake will also include a complaint-oriented physical exam. Further specialized lab testing may be suggested if indicated by your history and health concerns. Follow-up visits are used to regularly check-in and monitor your progress, adjust any treatment instructions as necessary, and answer additional questions and concerns you may have.
Naturopathic Doctors receive extensive training in the following disciplines: Clinical Nutrition, Acupuncture, Botanical Medicine, Asian Medicine, Physical Medicine, Homeopathy, and Lifestyle Counselling.
Counselling/Psychotherapy/Mental Health
As a registered social worker, Aery can practice as a psychotherapist offering various types of therapy. These therapies require intensive training and supervision. Of the various types, Aery offers therapy in Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). The theoretical underpinnings are, how people think, affect how people feel, which influences how they behave. Thus treatment includes an ongoing assessment of patients (how they came to thinking the way they think, identifying underlying emotions, etc) and various types of treatments that can involve perceptions and exposures that can come in the form of solutions-focused.
Furthermore, patients can expect the therapist to ask various questions that can expose their vulnerabilities and strengths. Vulnerability gives the therapist and the patient a window to see what it is that is being protected and why. When this is identified, the therapist will validate patient experience(s) and help the patient process the experience(s) which can lead to healing, increase self-confidence and self-esteem.
Therapy is not just cognitive experience but also a physical experience. There are physical symptoms that are commonly experienced with distress such as rumination, trouble sleeping, heart palpitations, worsening of existing aches and pain, skin rashes, etc. Treatment recommendations can also include exercises, mindfulness, meditation, walks, stretches, etc.

Pilates
Group classes up to four (2, 3, or 4) people are available. Best if you have your group prearranged due to differences in pilates experience. Please call to book groups! Solo Pilates sessions can be booked directly online.
STOTT Pilates® places an emphasis on core strength, alignment, and mobility. It is beneficial to bodies of all ages and fitness levels. STOTT Pilates® also addresses the inherent muscle imbalances we all have, from being right or left-handed, participating in one-sided sports, having jobs with repetitive movement, poor bio-mechanics, or simply bad posture from our modern, computer-driven lives.
STOTT Pilates® is different from other Pilates techniques. STOTT Pilates® exercises support the natural curves of the spine and help to re-balance the surrounding muscles. Each exercise program is customizable, and based on an initial assessment with spinal rehabilitation in mind. A combination of matwork and the reformer may be used in your musculoskeletal conditioning program. STOTT Pilates® is definitely challenging but fun as well, and can improve your overall posture, muscle tone, and day-to-day ability.

Reiki
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful Japanese technique for stress reduction, relaxation, and holistic healing. It works by supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself, promoting balance on all levels—mind, body, emotional, and spiritual. Through light touch or hands-off energy work, Reiki helps to clear energetic blockages, restore harmony, and enhance overall well-being. It encourages deep relaxation, allowing you to reconnect with your inner healing power and live life with greater clarity, peace, and vitality.
During a session of Reiki with Crystal Chakra Balancing & Guided Meditation, Reiki energy flows through you, releasing energetic blockages while intentionally selected crystals are placed on the seven chakras to enhance alignment and harmony. A guided meditation helps deepen relaxation, clear negative energy, and reconnect you with your inner peace and intuition.
Restorative Pilates
Taught by Kirsti Horvath, Restorative Pilates is geared towards clients who are post-injury, post-surgery, and to those who have not been active for many years and want a lighter class. Kirsti uses her physiotherapy background to modify various Pilates exercises to make them safe yet effective. Kirsti is also STOTT® Pilates-certified, and is able to provide clients with a full and challenging workout.
