What sets an ND apart from other conventional health providers is that they work with your inherent self-healing process by identifying underlying root causes of illness and addressing this through an individualized treatment plan. NDs are trained in primary care, can address both acute and chronic illness, and are aware of how naturopathic treatments can work alongside standard medical therapies.

During the Initial Appointment, your ND will obtain an extensive patient history on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Your comprehensive intake will also include a complaint-oriented physical exam. Further specialized lab testing may be suggested if indicated by your history and health concerns. Follow-up visits are used to regularly check-in and monitor your progress, adjust any treatment instructions as necessary, and answer additional questions and concerns you may have.

Naturopathic Doctors receive extensive training in the following disciplines: Clinical Nutrition, Acupuncture, Botanical Medicine, Asian Medicine, Physical Medicine, Homeopathy, and Lifestyle Counselling.

STOTT Pilates® places an emphasis on core strength, alignment, and mobility. It is beneficial to bodies of all ages and fitness levels. STOTT Pilates® also addresses the inherent muscle imbalances we all have, from being right or left-handed, participating in one-sided sports, having jobs with repetitive movement, poor bio-mechanics, or simply bad posture from our modern, computer-driven lives.

STOTT Pilates® is different from other Pilates techniques. STOTT Pilates® exercises support the natural curves of the spine and help to re-balance the surrounding muscles. Each exercise program is customizable, and based on an initial assessment with spinal rehabilitation in mind. A combination of matwork and the reformer may be used in your musculoskeletal conditioning program. STOTT Pilates® is definitely challenging but fun as well, and can improve your overall posture, muscle tone, and day-to-day ability.
